ASSC 29

Submissions

Join us at our 29th Annual Meeting of the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness (ASSC29) from June 30 to July 3, 2026, in Santiago, Chile.

ASSC29 brings together researchers from around the world to share the latest findings and ideas in the scientific study of consciousness. Topics will include empirical, theoretical, and philosophical investigations into the neural correlates of consciousness and the nature of subjective experience.

Calls for Symposium and Tutorial submissions is NOW OPEN!  We invite proposal for Symposia and pre-conference tutorial from a wide range of disciplines, including Psychology, Medicine, Neuroscience, Computer Science, Philosophy, Biology, Mathematics, and related fields.

Symposia

Symposia address key themes in consciousness science of broad interest. Selection factors include topic timeliness, presentation complementarity, methodological interdisciplinarity, scientific relevance, and panel diversity. Intellectual and demographic inclusiveness are essential. Proposals uniting diverse methods around shared questions are especially valued.

Symposia last 2 hours and may include up to 4 speakers.

Speakers and/or organizers can apply for one symposium or one tutorial.

Tutorials

Tutorials help researchers learn about unfamiliar topics. Presenters must cover subjects educationally to spark discussion, debate, and audience interaction. Strong emphasis is placed on teaching quality, audience engagement, and presenter expertise.

Tutorials last 3 hours (with a short break) and include 1–6 presenters.

Note: if fewer than 10 participants register, the tutorial may be cancelled in advance.

Speakers and/or organizers can apply for one symposium or one tutorial.
